--> --> Morin an honorable mention Ashland Daily Tidings Marla Morin, the junior post who had a breakout 2001-02 season in leading the Ashland girls basketball team to the Class 4A state playoffs, received honorable mention status Tuesday on the Oregonian's all-state team. Crater High standout Amy Denson was named the Oregonian's Class 4A state girls player of the year. Other local girls honored were Crater's Sarah Pool (first-team) and South Medford's Whitney Grant (second-team). Included on the Class 4A boys all-state team were South Medford's Eric Fiegi (second-team), Grants Pass' Tyler York (third-team) and Roseburg's Joe Newton (third-team). South Medford's Ryan Heil and Grants Pass' Brant Minor both received honorable mention status. Morin finished as the state's third leading scorer and led the Grizz girls to the second round of the subtournament where they lost to Glencoe. Email your...
