BARRIE AND PHILIP BARRY will be presented by the Ashland Community Theatre at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Commons theater of Ashland Middle School, 100 Walker Ave. Twenty performers will perform scenes from plays written by this famous pair, including Peter Pan and The Philadelphia Story. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door. For information, call 488-5664. · A SALE TO BENEFIT TALENT PARKS will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (and every second Saturday of each month) at the Talent Community Hall, 206 E. Main St., Talent. The sale will be a community flea market, offering a wide variety of items. Spaces are still available at the sale for $5 a space. To reserve a space or for more information, call 535-3532. · THE MEALS CLUB OFFERS DINNERS to those who need help preparing and cooking meals and to those who don't qualify for other meal programs. Club dinners are made fresh and then frozen so that they're ready to heat when needed. Dinners include a main dish, vegetable or fruit, bread, and dessert. Weekly deliveries can be arranged. The Meals Club is a service of ACCESS Inc. Community Nutrition Programs. Contributions to help provide meals are tax deductible. For information and reservations, call 774-4308. · SUMMER READING 2001 PROGRAM begins Monday at the Jackson County Libraries. Kids from age 2 to 12 may participate in "Read a Wild Tale" at any of the county branches. Readers who meet goals will win prizes and qualify to enter several contests and attend events.
