Investigators were tipped to the identities and whereabouts of the robbers by a person who saw sketches of the suspects when they appeared in the Mail Tribune and on local television stations, Medford police Lt. Tim George said. "Because of the media release and the composite sketches, we received citizen input that gave us a tip on where the suspects might be," George said. At about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, two men armed with a revolver forced their way into a house in the 2600 block of Dellwood Avenue and demanded cash, wallets and other items from four occupants. During the incident, one of the occupants suffered minor injuries when assaulted by one of the robbers. The victim did not require hospitalization, police said. On Friday, the citizen tip led police to a home in the 200 block of Rapp Road in Talent, where investigators located suspect Frank Marshall Bevin Smith, 19. Smith was questioned before being arrested and lodged in the Jackson County Jail on four counts of first-degree robbery. Police also arrested a 17-year-old girl at the home who is suspected of driving the getaway car during the robbery. She was lodged in juvenile hall on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and first- degree robbery. Investigators' next stop was at a home in the 3800 block of South Pacific Highway in Phoenix, where Kristopher Douglas Green, 24, was arrested. He also faces four counts of first-degree robbery. Green and Smith were both being held late Friday in the jail on $4 million bail. Police do not believe the robbery was a random act. Smith, who allegedly wore a bandanna to cover his face during the crime, was acquainted with at least one of the occupants of the Dellwood Avenue home, George said. Late Friday, investigators were serving search warrants at the homes where Smith and Green were located, in hopes of recovering evidence in the case.
