Kiwanis honors a senior student from Ashland High School each month during the school year. Theo has lived in Ashland his entire life and is a product of the Ashland schools. He has been on the AHS football team for four years and a varsity starter for two years. He has also participated on the basketball and spring soccer teams.  Theo is maintaining a 3.815 GPA while taking four AP classes over the past two years. During the last three school years, Whitcomb has also completed over 125 hours of community service. He has worked as a counselor at a music school operated by his father. He has also volunteered at the Ashland Food Bank. For his senior project, he and another student created a one-hour documentary on the Pacific Rim Bowl in which AHS participates with a Japan team every two years.  Theo plans to attend a small private school after high school graduation. He would like to go to either St. Mary’s or the Redlands. He hasn’t decided on a career path, but would like to focus on business.  Theo received a Kiwanis award certificate and $50 in cash. During the month of May 2015, two of the nine monthly winners for the current school year will be further rewarded with the $1,000 Tommy Laird Kiwanis College scholarship.  To learn more about Ashland Kiwanis, visit ashlandkiwanis.org or call (541)488-0532.    By Ashland Kiwanis DailyTidings.com By Ashland Kiwanis Posted Dec. 30, 2014 @ 7:21 pm » Comment or view comments   Reader Reaction »  STAY INFORMED   Email NewsLetter   Sign Up Today   Sign up for our newsletter and have the top headlines from your community delivered right to your inbox. calendar Connect with DailyTidings.com Facebook Twitter RSS Back to top Reader Services Reader Services home Subscriptions Subscriber controls Contact us Submissions Photos Events Letters to the editor Corrections Alerts Email alerts RSS feeds Text Alerts Advertise Media Kit Home Products and services Ad rates Advertising contacts Mail Tribune Daily Tidings The Nickel Shop Our Valley Blogs Stay Informed   Email newsletter   Sign Up Today   Sign up for our newsletter and have the top headlines from your community delivered right to your inbox.
