Thursday, June 23 Fireworks Fundraiser: For the sixth year in a row, the Phoenix High School Band and Choir will be raising funds by selling fireworks. The funds raised will help with purchasing new instruments and band camp. The Phoenix High School Band and Choir will operate two fireworks tents this year — one at Ray’s Parking Lot, 735 N. Main St., Phoenix, and a second at 2338 S. Pacific Highway (across the street from Roxy Ann Lanes), from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 23 through Monday, July 4. Ashland City Band: The community band, directed by Don Bieghler, will perform programs of original works for big bands, medleys of Broadway musicals, marches and other popular styles of music at 7 p.m. Thursdays through Aug. 11 in the Butler Band Shell in Lithia Park in Ashland. Pre-shows starts at 6:15 and include Dixieland Band, rogue Valley Symphony Brass Quintet, Jabberwocky Good Time Band, Ashland Brass Quintet, German Band and Jefferson State Brass. Ashland City Band also will present a program of patriotic music at noon July 4. All concerts in the series are free. Friday, June 24 Inlakesh Festival: The annual gathering of sacred ceremony, music, art and dance kicks off with an opening ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Jackson WellSprings, 2253 N. Highway 99, Ashland. The festival continues with workshops, live music and more through Sunday, June 26. A weekend pass including camping and spa privileges costs $155 in advance, $165 at the door. Weekend passes without camping or spa entry are $90 in advance, $108 at the door. Day passes are $30 in advance, $35 at the door for Friday, and $35 in advance, $40 at the door for Saturday and Sunday. Schedules are available online at inlakeshfest.com .
