I would never have believed what God had in store for me this year. It has truly been an honor and a blessing to be a representative of our state, to the Miss Universe Organization, our country and to the world this year. This past year, I was able to reach out to teens, and was a spokesperson for teen issues, work with amazing organizations and causes, and help raise over $21 million for the charities of the Miss Universe Organization. I am also proud that our state has now holds the record for the most Miss Teen USA title holders. And most importantly, that The Sparrow Club, an Oregon-based organization will continue to be an "official" charitable alliance for Miss Teen USA. Next, I would like to take this time to thank my parents, Tim and Stephanie, brothers Shawn and Ricky, "sister" Jennie, my grandma and nonnie, for their love, support and prayers this year and throughout my life. I would also like to thank my sponsors, state directors; Bert and Carol Lukens, my travel manager; Donna Heitmanek, my homecoming coordinators Christy Littrell and Jane Force, the city of Phoenix, and the state of Oregon for such a wonderful "homecoming" and for being so enthusiastic, supportive, and for simply making me feel special. Thank you Tami of Allure Bridal for coordinating the "welcome me back" rally at the airport and potluck at the Phoenix Grange when I arrived home after I crowned the new Miss Teen USA, it was a great pick me up. Thank you also Governor Kulongoski for the autographed Louisville Slugger, I am ready to play ball anytime! I would also like to thank Andrew Merfeld, who had never even met me, and yet with great pride and countless hours created a beautiful Web site Tami-Farrell.com for me, my supporters, friends and family to follow my activities as Miss Teen USA. Your gift is priceless, thank you again. Mostly, I would like to thank God, for giving me this opportunity to be a witness to His love, and letting "shine" for him this year.
