Ashland Police and Fire 8:14 p.m. Wednesday - Transient male, 42, contacted for drinking in public, 2200 block Ashland Street. Subject found to have valid arrest warrants, lodged in Jackson County Jail. 3:41 p.m. Wednesday - Vehicle which had been reported as stolen on Tuesday recovered, 1000 block Tolman Creek Road. 12:59 p.m. Wednesday - Transient female found burgundy dayplanner and orange woven wallet containing identification and turned in both items to an officer, 400 block Siskiyou Boulevard. Between 12:01 and 2 a.m. Wednesday - Transient male reported his wallet as stolen after leaving it atop a counter during a party, 2200 block Siskiyou Boulevard. Value of wallet and contents: $111. Between 12:01 and 1 a.m. Wednesday - Resident's apartment window broken by an unknown culprit during a party, apparently by thrown rock, 2200 block Siskiyou Boulevard. Cost of damage to window: $200. Between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday - Unknown person or persons broke window at Bellview School, 1000 block Tolman Creek Road. Cost of damage to window: $300. Jackson County Fire District No. 5 12:01 p.m. Wednesday - Structure fire apparently caused by faulty wiring in bedroom of mobile home, 200 block South Pacific Highway.
