The $1.3 million ticket was sold at one of five Ashland locations in the week leading up to the Feb. 18 Powerball drawing. “Either they don’t know they won or they’re taking their sweet time,” said Chuck Baumann, the lottery’s public information officer. Four Oregon tickets won prizes in that drawing, according to Baumann. Winners from Redmond and Chemult have claimed $667,000 rewards and a ticket sold in Tigard also worth $667,000 has not been turned in. All four winning tickets were initially worth $200,000. The Match-5 Bonus kicked in — only the second time in Lottery history this occurred —because of the record-breaking $365 million pot. It added a $447,000 prize to the winnings. The Ashland ticket holder also played the multiplier, which quadrupled the $200,000 pot before the bonus was added. Five Ashland stores are Powerball retailers; Lottery officials have not released which store sold the winning ticket. The ticket-holder has one year from the date of the drawing to collect the prize. — Jennifer Squires DailyTidings.com Home Page Archives | Revels | Classifieds | Real Estate Guide | Weather | Subscribe | Contact Us Copyright 2005 Ashland Daily Tidings and Ottaway Newspapers All Rights Reserved Deep Muscle Stimulator Ceramic Piggy Banks FREE Entertainment Guide Women's & Men's Slippers Accelerate Weightloss Products Backpacks Online Pharmacy Vegas Travel Guide Search Engine Optimization Student Loans Hotel & Airline Reservations Hammocks Water Filter Helzberg Diamonds Online Casinos Community Bonus Casino Mortgage Calculator Security Systems Mailing Lists Click Here Advertisement .:Advertisements:.
