The man was arrested for an outstanding warrant, drinking an open container of alcohol in public, and giving false information to an officer. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail in Medford. A Central Point man, 19, was also cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol. 10:20 p.m. Thursday - A female transient, 26, was arrested in Ashland for driving a vehicle reported stolen from California. She was taken to the Jackson County Jail. 1:43 p.m. Thursday - Report of five money orders stolen from a mail box on Fox Street. 1:30 p.m. Thursday - Two Motorola radios valued at $559.58 were reported stolen from Churchill Hall on the Southern Oregon University campus. 1:15 p.m. Thursday - A man, 38, arrested for stealing a purse and for trespassing at a business on North Main Street. 5 a.m. Thursday - Two wicker chairs and a lawn ornament were reported stolen from two homes on Vista Street. 3:20 a.m. Thursday - Medford woman, 24, arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on North Main Street at Skidmore Street.
