The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at the Ashland Civic Center. The meeting will not be televised due to the limited agenda. Among the items to be voted on will be the appointment of Mike Franell as City Attorney. Franell is acting city attorney until the vote is taken Tuesday. If approved, he will assume his duties officially on July 1. There will also be a public hearing and reading by title only of a resolution adopting a supplemental budget establishing appropriations within the 2003-2004 budget. This item adjusts the city budget and keeps the city in compliance with Oregon budget law. The appropriation is due to delays in the Siskiyou Boulevard and Tolman Creek and Strawberry Lane street projects. It appropriates for an increased amount of Intergovernmental Revenue in the street fund recognizing the receipt of over $350,000 in jurisdictional exchange revenue and project expenditures. The second action involves changing the 2003-2004 budget, adjusting the budget to match anticipated expenditures. It will redirect the $200,000 capital outlay appropriation created by a previous supplemental budget in the Community Development Block Grant fund from capital outlay to materials and services. The next regularly scheduled city council meeting will be July 20 at 7 p.m. There is no first Tuesday meeting due to the Fourth of July holiday week.
