ASHLAND POLICE & FIRE 6:45 p.m. Wednesday - Pumpkin smashed on two cars, 00 block Wightman Street, stereo valued at $79 taken from on unlocked vehicle. 7 p.m. Wednesday - Mountain bike valued at $3,600 taken, 700 block Park Street. 6 p.m. Wednesday - Car valued at $1,500 reported stolen, 800 block Park Street, gray 1987 Mustang Oregon license PSK404. 2 p.m. Wednesday - Burning debris placed in mailbox, Ashland Loop Road and Terrace Avenue, $100 damage. Wednesday - Man reported he was assaulted by three individuals who demanded money before letting him go, 800 block Park Street, under investigation. Wednesday - Motel reported a guest left without paying after staying for 15 days, 2500 block Ashland Street. 11:52 p.m. Wednesday - Ashland man, 36, charged with identity theft, giving false information when applying for a license, giving false information to a police officer, giving false information for vehicle registration. TALENT POLICE 12:33 p.m. Wednesday - Eagle Point woman, 36, charged with assault after allegedly biting a man in the rear, 400 Arnos Street, lodged in Jackson County Jail. JACKSON COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 5 11:30 p.m. Wednesday - Structure fire, 3900 block Culver Road, two-car garage and one vehicle completely burned, fire extinguished before spreading to attached home, no injuries, estimated damage $40,000; under investigation. 11 p.m. Wednesday - Vehicle drove into train at railroad crossing, Hilltop Road and Talent Avenue, no injuries, damage to front of car.
