--> --> Oregon In Brief Salem man found shot to death SALEM - Police are investigating the shooting death of a 67-year-old man whose body was found in his home. Quinton B. Heavener was found by his son about 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Heavener had been shot in the head. He died later at Salem Hospital. A handgun was found at the scene, but police aren't assuming that Heavener shot himself. "We're investigating all possibilities: suicidal, accidental or criminal," said Lt. Chuck Bennett. The cause of death will be determined during an autopsy, Bennett said. Woman, daughters killed in crash MOLALLA - A 14-year-old girl remained in critical condition Sunday after a car accident that killed her mother and two young sisters. Nicole Danskin was being treated for fractures to the back and neck at OHSU Hospital, hospital officials said. Lorene Danskin, 36, and her two daughters, 11-year-old Andrea Danskin and 5-year-old Kathryn Danskin, were killed in a two-car accident on Washington's State Route 14 on Saturday. Washington State Police said the Danskins' car veered off the road, drifted back onto the highway and crossed into the oncoming lane. A truck driven by 50-year-old Robert Ruzgiz struck the Danskins' car. Ruzgiz, of Vancouver, Wash., was treated and released from Klickitat Valley Hospital. Police have not yet identified a cause for the crash. Hospital officials said the father, Rodney Danskin, was with his daughter Nicole on Sunday. Actor Dennis Quaid rocks Oregon crowd BEAVERTON - Actor Dennis Quaid jumped on stage barefoot to perform with his rock 'n' roll band the Sharks on Sunday at the annual Taste of Beaverton party. Quaid, better known for his rustic good looks on the big screen than as a musician, says he has been playing guitar since he was 12, growing up in Texas. The group Dennis Quaid and the Sharks has been together about eight months. "I get nervous before I go on stage so I like it, it gets you going," Quaid said at the Beaverton event. "We've had really good crowds, you know and people having fun and that's what we want."
