--> --> Talent police · 5:30 p.m. Tuesday - Two Talent residents arrested on charges related to the Sept. 4 burglary of a Talent business. A 32-year-old Talent man was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, criminal mischief, burglary, theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property. Talent woman charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, possession of methamphetamine, theft by receiving. · `JOYOUS BEGINNINGS' HOSTS OPEN HOUSE in Ashland from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The new Pre-Kindergarten is designed for children between two and a half years to five years in age. The event is designed to be a community building activity through drumming and rhythm. All ages are welcome, and invited to bring a drum or rhythm instrument. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the ACCESSHousing Development and Nutrition Programs of the Rogue Valley. Items are now being accepted; they must be related to building, such as doors, windows, paint, carpet, light fixtures, base boards/trim, plumbing fixtures, hand tools, power tools, design books, door knobs, and miscellaneous hardware. For information, call 779-6691. · AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, 175 N. Main Street in Ashland. The entire process of donating blood only takes an hour and a half, and someone can donate blood every 56 days. A donor must be at least 17 years old, weigh 105 pounds and be in general good health. Donations may mean a lifetime for a premature baby or someone with cancer undergoing chemotherapy. · `WOMEN IN BLACK' GATHERING will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Ashland Plaza. The Women in Black is a coalition of women's groups seeking non-violent resolution of the conflict in the Middle East. The gathering will support Women in Black demonstration in Jerusalem.
