The department says the class will cover how to protect you home (including a home security checklist); 21 things a burglar won’t tell you; how the lock on your door really works; where you should put your lights; how to protect your home while on vacation; how to secure your sliding glass doors, garage and windows; and more. Two sessions are offered, starting at 1:30 and 6 p.m., each lasting about two hours. Class size is limited to 55 people; reservations are recommended. Call 541-482-5211 to signup. Classes are held in the city of Ashland Council Chambers at 1175 E.
