NPSO Program: The Siskiyou Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon will hold a free program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Southern Oregon University Cascade Science Building, Room CSC 114 (formerly known as Hawthorn Hall in the old Cascade dorms). Additionally, guest speaker Bridget Callahan will highlight botanicals of the Kalmiopsis Wildnerness, and current campaigns to expand wilderness protections in Oregon. The event is free. Call 541-941-3744. Performance Preview: A preview production of Camelot Theatre's production of "Spotlight on Roy Orbison" will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at 101 Talent Ave., Talent. The performance, directed by Presila Quinby, will include vocals and rhythm guitar by Erik Connolly, and backup vocals and narration by Marlena Gray and Kathleen Marrs.
