--> --> A vote for Charter Many people don't realize that the new position of Circuit Court Judge will be decided this May - it is not an election which will go to November, which is why it is so important to become fully informed about Charter and Purdy - the two announced candidates. Looking at the background and legal practice of each man gives a good picture of what they are likely to do on the bench. Look at the sort of practice each man has had and you'll see what each one finds important. Purdy has consistently handled cases for big clients in powerful positions. Charter's practice has been much more universal. The variety of cases Charter has handled is much greater than those of Purdy. Charter has often taken the difficult road of representing employers, employees and families in difficult positions - who could not afford to hire the big legal firms. He has stood against powerful interests who wanted things their way and instead went with the truth and what was right. Charter has shown his integrity when it would have been easier to settle for less. He is a man of great character. Ask his clients. The choice is clear - business as usual, or a man for the people.
