Leaping for Dummies Daily Tidings / Andy Atkinson A dummy freestyle motorcross rider 'Mad Max' on skis built by Valley Immediate Care catches air during the Dummy Downhill at Mt. Ashland Sunday afternoon. Tuesday Mar 20, 2018 at 8:46 PM Mar 20, 2018 at 8:46 PM The Dummy Downhill competition, by this time a well-established community favorite, made its soaring return this weekend as creations hurtled off the edge of a ski jump at Mount Ashland. The dummies’ scores are determined half by originality and half by their durability against the jump itself. The creators of the winning dummy, called “Bear Down,” won a 2018-19 season pass to the mountain.
