It's not much a road trip: Thanks for the Memories had planned to use a converted warehouse space at 722 Jefferson Ave. on the east end of Ashland for a performance of the show on April 17, but was shut down due to a lack of safety-oriented permits, including a review of exit availability and signage and fire alarms and sprinklers. As it stands, the legal maximum occupancy of the space is only 12 persons. Oregon Cabaret Theatre is at 241 Hargadine St. in downtown Ashland, near the Ashland Springs Hotel.  Thanks for the Memories founder Peter Wickliffe is "ecstatic" about Cabaret Theatre's offer, he said in a media release, and offered "a huge thanks to the Cabaret for stepping forward to offer us the use of their theater." The performance of what's billed as a "dark-comedy, modern-musical genre" that won seven Tony Awards begins at 8 p.m. Tickets ($12) are available online at www.tftmtheatre.com and at the door.
