Arrangements are under the direction of the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Ashland. Nellie R. Rabjohn The graveside service for Nellie R. Rabjohn will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at Scenic Hills Memorial Park in Ashland. Mrs. Rabjohn, 82, of Ashland, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003, at Ashland Community Hospital. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home in Ashland. Mrs. Rabjohn was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Amity, Ark., the daughter of Missouri and Eric Bryant. On Oct. 7, 1937, in Amity, she married Grady T. Rabjohn, who preceded her in death in 2000. Mrs. Rabjohn lived in the Roseburg area for 10 years before moving to Talent in 1977. She moved to Williams in 1978 and to Ashland in 2001. Surviving are three sons, Jesse L. Rabjohn of Ashland, Charley B. Rabjohn of Williams, and Thomas D. Rabjohn of Tollison, Ariz.; a daughter, Rebecca N. Harrison of Eugene; a brother, Floyd Bryant of Amity, Ark.; 11grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Arrangements are under the direction of Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Ashland. Alfred "Al" South Al South of Medford died Sept. 2, 2003, at the age of 62. A private service will be held at a later date. South was born Sept. 16, 1940, in Grygla, Minn., to Eugene & Nellie (Hasbrouck) South. South grew up and attended schools in Ashland, graduating in 1958. He received bachelor's and master's degrees from Southern Oregon College, and was an instructor at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Ore., until 2001, when he retired and moved back to the Rogue Valley. South enjoyed traveling, reading, golfing, and following the stock market. Before moving to Ontario, South married Shirley Boswell in August 1964. She survives. Other survivors include two sisters, Norma Veentjer of Portland and Patricia South of Ashland; five nieces, Cindy, Sharon, Patricia, Mary and Deborah; seven nephews, John, David, Michael, Patrick, Wayne, Steven and Douglas; an aunt, Netta Ekstrom; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wayne South; and nephews David South and Daniel Veentjer. Remembrances may be made to ACCESS, P.O.
