A play about the transformative power of love, of sisterhood, and of life, announces the fifth production in its 2004 season, the Tony-Nominated comedy The Sisters Rosensweig opened on Broadway in March of 1993 and ran for 556 performances. It starred Jane Alexander, Robert Klein and Madelyn Kahn, who won the Tony Award for Best Supporting Actress. Winner of the 1993 Outer Critics Circle award for Best Broadway Play, The Sisters Rosensweig, was nominated for the Tony Award for 1993; it lost out to Angels in America. The Camelot production of Sisters stars Gwen Overland, Bruce Lorange, Priscilla Quinby (for the week of September 8-12 only), Dianna Warner, Laura DeRocher, Scott Honeywell, Tai Sammons and Travis Goodman. Overland is familiar to Camelot audiences for her direction of this seasons "Master Class" and "Wait Until Dark" and her vocal direction on "Zorba'." An Equity actress, her credits include productions from Seattle to Los Angeles. A graduate of the Pasadena Playhouse, Lorange has worked as professional actor in film, theatre and TV in Los Angeles for more than 20 years. Locally he has appeared in numerous productions including "Lettice and Lovage" and "Shadowlands." An Equity actress for over 30 years, Quinby last appeared at Camelot as Peggy Lee in "Spotlight on Peggy Lee" and as the Widow in "Zorba'." An actress for over 30 years, Warner last appeared at Camelot as Widow Corney in "Oliver." She has taught English and acting both at Ashland High School and Ashland Middle School. Derocher relocated from the Chicago area, where she starred as Mary Magdalene in "Jesus Christ Superstar,"Maria von Trapp in "The Sound of Music," Eliza in "My Fair Lady," Marian Paroo in "The Music Man," and numerous other musical roles. Gabriel played the title role in "Jesus Christ Superstar" and Che in "Evita" with the Rogue Music Theater, Frederick in "Pirates of Penzance" and Freddie in "My Fair Lady," and well as other featured roles in the Seattle area. An Equity actor, Honeywell has acted for more than 30 years. He was last scene at Camelot as Bill Sykes in "Oliver" and as the Cowboy in "I'm Not Rappaport." "The Sisters Rosensweig" previews Sept. 1 and 2 at 8 p.m., opens Sept. 3 and runs through Oct. 3. All Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and all Sundays at 2 p.m., with an additional matinee on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. There will be a special Pay-What-You-Can performance on Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m.. Reservations are recommended. Tickets are $12 for previews. All other performances are $13 for students and seniors and $15 for Adults. Reserved seats are available at the Box Office Only for an additional $2 per ticket. Call 535-5250 ext. 1 for reservations. Tickets may be obtained at the Camelot Theatre Company's Box Office, located at the corner of Talent Ave and Main St in Talent, on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays from 1 to 5 p.m., or one hour before performances. Tickets are also available at JeanneLouise Vintage Clothing and Costumes, 296 Main St. (next to Bloomsbury Books) in Ashland.
