You who have been here for generations, are you pleased with where we are headed? To those who appreciate our town's lively history, how does it feel to watch our city's biggest trees fall? To hear conversations about logging the old Winburn place? To see plans for a mini mall in the Railroad District? Some of you logged on Mount Ashland for years, what do you think about logging up there again? Those of you who have seen the ski area fold and open and fold again, do you believe that this expansion is the key to financial success? You who have lived here through 13 year droughts, do you think the weather patterns of this region will ever support the ski area? Can the road support more traffic? Do you worry about the folks who stop by the lodge for a few drinks before driving home down that icy, winding road at night? Do you think the city should again compromise our viewshed and our watershed for the benefit of a few? I'm asking you to write letters to the editor and share your thoughts with our community.
