Highway 99, Ashland. Orgone is an eight-piece band that plays funk and soul, Jelly Bread plays "desert twang" with four-part harmonies, and multi-instrumentalist AfroQBen plays samples and futuristic sounds on synths. Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased online at liveatthearmory.com or Music Coop, 268 E. Main St. Tickets will be $25 the day of the show. Doors open at 7 p.m. The show is open to ages 21 and older. Tavi Jinariu Jefferson Classical Guitar Society will present "The Segovia Guitar" at 8 p.m. Friday, June 3, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 717 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. Classical guitarist Tavi Jinariu will perform some of the guitar repertoire made famous by maestro Andres Segovia. Jinariu hails from Romania, where he began playing guitar at age 5. In 1999, he received a full scholarship to study with Christopher Parkening, who was Segovia's famous American student. Jinariu is currently professor of guitar studies at The Master's College in Santa Clarita, Calif. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased online at tav.brownpapertickets.com , Music Coop, 268 E. Main St., or at the door. Brews, Bluegrass and BBQ Tap into the best of the Rogue Valley's food, beverages and music at the fourth annual Brews, Bluegrass & BBQ from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at RoxyAnn Winery, 3283 Hillcrest Road. Part of Beer Week, it will include barbecue from Sweet Tea Express, ABC Kitchen Catering, Figgy’s Food Truck and Nguyen Street Food, along with 26 Rogue Valley microbrews on tap, RoxyAnn's wines, and a live music lineup that features bluegrass bands Left Coast Country, Windy Hill, Siskiyou Summit, Sage Meadows & High Country and Bear Creek Band. Tickets are $15 in advance and can be purchased online at roguebbb.org . Tickets will be $20 at the door. Tickets include a commemorative pint glass and tasting tickets. Music-only tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Children 15 and younger get in free. Proceeds benefit THRIVE's local food programs. L.E.F.T. with Gene Black Gene Black — lead guitarist of the Joe Cocker band from 1997 to 2014 — will sit in with local rock band L.E.F.T. — Bret Levick on guitars and vocals, Bob Evoniuk on Dobro, Greg Frederick on bass and Matt Terreri on drums — at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at South Stage Cellars, 125 S. Third St., Jacksonville. The show is the first in a series that will include guest musicians sitting in with L.E.F.T. Admission is free. Janeane Garofalo Stand-up comedian and actor Janeane Garofalo will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. Music trio The Fret Drifters will open the show. Garofalo has a long list of film and television appearances to her credit. She's known for her brand of sharp wit, and she played the acerbic talent booker, Paula, on "The Larry Sanders Show," a role that earned her an Emmy nomination and two Cable Ace nominations. The show is in conjunction with Medford's Beer Week. Tickets are $32, $35 or $38 and include a commemorative pint glass for those 21 and older. Beer tastings will be available before the show and during intermission in the theater's lobby. A limited number of VIP tickets are $125 and include appetizers in the lobby at 5 p.m. and dinner with Jamie Floyd of Ninkasi Brewing in the theater's upstairs banquet room at 5:30.
