August 13. 2015 12:01AM 5 picks for live entertainment Peace Village Festival Peace Village Festival The music, arts and wellness festival will take place Friday through Sunday, Aug. 14-16, at Jackson WellSprings, 2253 Highway 99 N., Ashland. On Friday, look for Alice DiMicele and The Human Revolution. Saturday's performers include Tina Malia and Alcyon Massive, and Liberation Movement performs Sunday, among many others. There will be late-night dances Friday with Phutureprimitive and Saturday with Random Rab. Hours are 3 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Advance day passes cost $30 for Friday, $35 for Saturday or Sunday, and can be purchased online at www.peacevillagefestival.org. Passes at the gate are $35 for Friday, $40 for Saturday or Sunday. Tickets for late-night dances are $15 in advance, or $20 at the door. Weekend festival passes with or without camping are available. No alcohol, drugs or dogs will be allowed. Britt Orchestra Violinist James Ehnes will join the Britt Orchestra, directed by Teddy Abrams, for performances of "Mothership" by Mason Bates, Samuel Barber's Violin Concerto and Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 2 at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at the Britt Pavilion, 350 First St., Jacksonville. The Harris-Fitch Trio will perform at 6 p.m. in the Britt Performance Garden, and Geoffrey Riley of Jefferson Public Radio will host a pre-concert talk with Ehnes at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 for reserved seats, $32 for lawn seating, $10 for children and students, and can be purchased online at brittfest.org, at the Britt box office, 216 W. Trampled By Turtles and The Devil Makes Three Minnesota bluegrass and folk-rock band Trampled by Turtles and The Devil Makes Three — a Southern California band with a punk-style perspective on bluegrass and old-time country — will share a bill at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Britt Pavilion, 350 First St., Jacksonville. Ol' Mount'n Due will perform at 6 p.m. in the Britt Performance Garden. Watkins Family Hour Sean and Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek, Fiona Apple, Don Heffington and Sebastian Steinberg will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Britt Pavilion, 350 First St., Jacksonville. The Watkins' monthly show at a Los Angeles venue has been hailed as a convivial, communal event that showcases a number of musicians. Now the show is on the road to mark the release of its album "Watkins Family Hour." Betty and the Boy performs at 6 p.m. in the Britt Performance Garden. Main St., or by calling 800-882-7488.  'Antony and Cleopatra' The ancient world is reshaped when Roman warrior Mark Antony, like Caesar before him, falls in love with the incomparable Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile. His devotion to desire rather than duty is the beginning of a downward spiral for him, the republic and Cleopatra, the last in her bloodline. Shakespeare’s tragedy presents history as a pageant full of passion, intrigue, exotic locales and the larger-than-life characters who brought about the death of an Egyptian dynasty and the birth of the Roman Empire.
