Wildflower lovers are invited to join a spring wildflower walk in Oredson-Todd Woods on Tuesday, April 26, and, besides finding out more about what's already known, to contribute to a citizen-sourced study to track bloom times going forward. "Project BudBurst" will be introduced during the walk, sponsored by Ashland Parks & Recreation's North Mountain Park Nature Center. Marcia Wineteer of the Bureau of Land Management will lead the walk and explain how to identify spring wildflowers along some of the trails, and she'll introduce a citizen-science program for observing spring bloom periods annually. Pre-registration is required. Go to ashland.or.us/register or call the Nature Center at 541-488-6606. The walk is intended for those at least 12 years old through adults. The cost is $7. Bring hiking shoes, water and a snack. Walkers will meet at 5 p.m. at the Oredson-Todd trailhead (turn left on Lupine, off Greenmeadows), and are expected to be back at the trailhead about 6:30 p.m. By Local report DailyTidings.com By Local report Posted Apr. 19, 2016 at 8:47 PM » Comment or view comments   Reader Reaction »  STAY INFORMED   Email NewsLetter   Sign Up Today   Sign up for our newsletter and have the top headlines from your community delivered right to your inbox.
