THURSDAY March 25 , 2004 - Subscribe - Contact Us - Rate Card - Place an Ad Valley&State Backpage O&E Sports Archives Classifieds Faith&Beliefs Obituaries Revels January 15, 2004 12:34 a.m. Thursday - An Ashland man, 19, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on California Street at East Main Street. 10:14 p.m. Wednesday - Report of shots fired at Albertson's on Ashland Street. Police discovered that while moving a handgun off the dashboard of her pickup, an Ashland woman, 19, grabbed the trigger, causing it to accidentally go off. The round damaged the driver's side window, the side view window, and a vehicle nearby. The woman was cited for reckless endangerment and released. 4 p.m. Wednesday - Unknown subjects keyed a car on North Mountain Avenue, causing $2,000 damage. 2:10 p.m. Wednesday - Report of three juveniles attempting to break into a residence on Dewey Street. The juveniles were located nearby, identified by a witness and taken into custody. The three juveniles admitted to trying to break into the residence, police officials said. The three told police they skipped class at Ashland High School to go off campus and drink beer. They then decided to try to break into the home to steal some marijuana they heard was at the residence. Two of the juveniles were cited while a third was lodged into the Jackson County Detention Hall. 9:48 a.m. Wednesday - Report of unknown subjects who stole a book of business checks from an office on A Street and had forged several of them.
