The Ashland City Council is likely to ask residents to weigh in on charging a 3 percent tax on marijuana products in the November general election at their council meeting Tuesday.  They voted unanimously to move the measure along at the last meeting and if they approve the vote again, you’ll see it on your ballot. A forum on Ballot Measure 97 sponsored by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce is set for noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way. Measure 97 would levy a 2.5 percent gross receipts tax on "C" corporations on all Oregon sales in excess of $25 million.
