Sheen's speech attacked Communism and the present "peacemaneuvers" of Communism. He stated that Communists have alwaysperated with the same deceptive and deceitful tactics. Inllustration, he mentioned an incident which occurred some years agohen he was teaching at a Washington, D. 0., college. Prior to -ne of his classes, a young man contacted him, claiming to haveeen a refugee from a Communist country where his parents had beenurged. The caller claimed to have written a book exposingommunism, to possess confidential Communist documents, and to beeager to accompany Sheen around the country in Sheen s verbalttacks on Communism. Ihe caller wanted an immediate answer to hisequest. ' 92. '
Sheen stated that he put off an answer to the caller andimmediately thereafter notified the FBI that he had been "visitedby a Soviet agent, giving the_FBI the name of the caller. Accordingto Sheen, the FBI told him the man was, in fact, a Communist ofsome importance, who had been lost for some time._ According to5heen,.the FBI requested that he present all information he had and
told'nim:the_FBI would handle the matter from thereon. ,

In June, 1951, Bishop Sheen was consecrated a Bishop at Rome,
andit was the first consecration in a century at Rome of an American Priest
who had not lived or been a seminarian inrthst city. _ His __nephew, Fulton J.Sheen III ,&#39;who was a student at Louvain University, where the Bishop also -
-studied, was one of the guests at the consecration. Immediately after becominga Bishop in Rome, Bishop Sheen left his own group for a private audience with
the Pope, who presented him witha Pectoraloross. Almost imedic-tely there-after, the Bishop flew to thej
rotto of&#39;_0n_r Blessed Mother"at Lourdes, a spot

"In Hay, 1952, my wife and I learned that our oldest daughter,Susarme, age&#39;S, was stricken with acute leukemia and had approximately six
months to live. As the realization of this news impressed itself "upon usday by day, we found ourselves in a state of great anxiety and personaldistress. In August, 1952 we wrote to Bishop Fulton J. Sheerland explainedour situation relating to our daughter. In reply he invited us to visit &#39;

"We accepted Bishop Sheen&#39;s invitation and visitedhim on August -
l9, 1952 atthe national office of the Propagation of" the Faith, 109 East -38_th Street, New York City. He greeted us with great warmth and was A&#39;eXtremely cordial and gracious and went to great lengths to make our visita happy and memorable one. The Bishop gave Susanne several lovely gifts todelight a child, including a gold ring and an ivory rosary, both of whichwere subsequently buried with her; In addition he gave her his biretta -which he autographed as well as a statue of the Blessed Mother and anivory crucifix. He presented my wife with a beautiful World liission rosary .and gave me a heavy St. Christopher medal for nw car. We spent approximatelyI45 minutes with the Bishop that day. 2. &#39; of the Commmist Party. Mullen was arranging to have Mr. Tompkins
- of the Department and those of the Internal Security Division of the --
Department see the film. I told him I would let him know on the availability
of Classroom #1. . .. s ;
4- - - Classroom #1 is available all day tomorrow. Mullen would
like to have thefilm shown at 3:00 p. m. Accordingly, we have madeI arrangements for an operator from the Photo Lab to show this film at 3
3:00 p. m. , Thursday afternoon, March 8, 1956. The film lasts 28 minutes.
Mullen will send the film to my office in the morning in order that we may
have the Bureau film operator check it prior to the showing. The Training yand Inspection Division will see that the classroom is in tiptop, presentable -

Bureau from the Domestic Intelligence Division and other spots about the .
Bureau might be interested in seeing the film and invites them to come on &#39;
up to Classroom #1 at 3:00 p. m. Mullen inquired as to how many the room &#39;would hold  was told about 90 or 100. He stated he would expect to haize70 or so from the Department and he was told this was satisfactory. I do . .

from his Division see this film, and if so, should have them go on up to
