Man jailed after alleged Rogue River shooting incident ... 14th annual Bikers Have Heart Yahtzee Run set for May 9 Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Apr. 24, 2015 at 2:50 PM Posted Apr. 24, 2015 at 2:50 PM » Social News Bikers Have Heart's Yahtzee Run, one of the largest charity motorcycle runs in Southern Oregon, returns May 9. Hosted by D&S Harley-Davidson, it has raised over $175,000 for local kids with medical needs. Registration for the 100-mile motorcycle ride will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9. Cost is $20 per Yahtzee card. The ride ends with a party that includes games, an auction, a 50/50 raffle, prize wheel, demonstration rides, music, food, a beer garden and more. The end party is open to everyone of all ages. Bikers Have Heart is a nonprofit organization, and all proceeds raised at the event go directly to the beneficiary. This year, Bikers Have Heart hopes to raise at least $10,000 for Logan, a Talent 1-year-old. At 6 months, Logan started favoring his right leg and showing unusual bruising all over his body. After testing and hospital stays, he was diagnosed with a very rare type of hemophilia. Since this disease has very serious complications, including internal and joint bleeding, Logan has to have infusions twice weekly, as well at other medical treatments. He also recently had surgery at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland to have a port placed in hopes it will ease the trauma of his infusion treatments, which he'll need for his entire lifetime. Logan’s parents have private insurance that covers only a portion of his costly medical treatments and weekly infusions.
