Shenk, Colts edge Eagles Tuesday Jun 27, 2017 at 2:00 AM EAGLE POINT — The South Medford American Legion A baseball team tallied three runs in the fourth inning, and that was all starting pitcher Daniel Shenk and the Colts would need to hold off North Jackson for a 5-2 victory on Monday. In the top of the fourth after South Medford’s Jack Thompson scored on Shenk’s single, the Eagles (7-7 Area 4) committed an outfield error that allowed two more Colts to cross home plate. Shenk allowed just one run over five innings to record the win while Clint Campbell and Robby Carle both went 2-for-3 for the Colts. Clayton Froughton finished 2-for-3 with a double while both John Alves and Skylar Gaudern drove in a run for the Eagles.
