Hoeptner falls in finals for 18 doubles Sep 21, 2009 12:00 AM A A Colt Hoeptner of Eagle Point was denied the boys' 18 doubles title Sunday at the USTA Pacific Northwest Dual 5 Junior Tennis Championships at the Rogue Valley Swim & Tennis Club. Hoeptner and partner Stuart Tierney were defeated 8-4 by Emmett Egger and Hudson Barnhardt. Egger of Issaquah, Wash., also won the boys' 18 singles crown in a walkover over Alexander Wallace, who had to withdraw because of illness. Brittney Reed of Richland, Wash., cruised past Victoria Tam, 6-0, 6-0, to win the girls' 18 singles championship. Matthew Ponesti of Medford was defeated in the boys' 16 doubles finals.
