Ashland city government has 2 new vacancies Updated: Jun 16, 2022 10:43 AM A A Ashland City Hall [Mail Tribune / file photo] The city of Ashland faces two open positions in city government, as the city attorney resigned Wednesday, the same day the city finance director retired. Alison Chan, the city finance director, came to Ashland from Medford on a temporary basis. Wednesday, June 15, was her last day of work before retirement. Katrina Brown resigned as city attorney via an emailed letter Wednesday morning. In the letter, obtained by the Mail Tribune, Brown said she accepted a job with the Oregon Department of Justice, and working for the city of Ashland “was wonderful for the most part.” She will miss it, she said. A call to the city attorney’s office was not immediately returned.
