Repeated bomb threats received at G.P. Wal-Mart By The Associated Press Mar 13, 2007 12:00 AM A A GRANTS PASS — A bomb threat caused Wal-Mart to evacuate its Grants Pass store for the second time in three weeks, police said. The store emptied Saturday night after a female caller phoned the delicatessen and said there was a bomb in a case. No explosives were found in a search of the store. About an hour after the call, a man told police that he had heard a girl talking on a cell phone at the neighboring Fred Meyer store. Police contacted three possible suspects, but made no arrests. Earlier Saturday, Wal-Mart reported to police that a boy called repeatedly, asking odd questions and claiming there was a bomb in the back of the store. A search of the store turned up nothing. Then at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, a caller said he overheard a man saying he had planted a bomb at Wal-Mart. A bomb threat Feb. 17 closed the store for about 90 minutes.
