The fire was first reported at 11:25 p.m., according to emergency dispatch records. Medford Fire-Rescue battalion chief Erin Sawall said four engine crews arrived at 1756 Orchard Home Drive to see the structure covered in flames. "It was well involved. Fire through the roof," Sawall said. "It was spreading pretty rapidly." All occupants made it out safely. A news release from the American Red Cross said the fire displaced seven adults, two children and several pets. The agency is currently giving them aid. Crews spent about 30 minutes getting the main fire under control, but remained on scene to manage hot spots. Several vehicles on the property were also damaged by the flames, Sawall said. The fire's cause is still under investigation.
