Rose M. Haworth, 55, of the 13200 block of Ramsey Road, Gold Hill, was driving west on Old Sams Valley Road around 6 p.m. Wednesday when her 1983 Oldsmobile coupe left the road and struck an abutment of a bridge over a nearby irrigation canal, said a sheriff’s department report. Firefighters from Jackson County Fire District No. 3 extricated Haworth and a Mercy Flights helicopter airlifted her to Rogue Valley Medical Center. The sheriff’s department report said Haworth likely wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and suffered serious head injuries. The accident remains under investigation. Felony arrests Theft — Nita Joe Russo, 24, of the 100 block of Bethan Circle, Talent. Talent police arrested Russo Tuesday on a charge of first-degree theft. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where she remained Tuesday night on $5,000 bail. Warrant — Nathan Thomas Carey, 24, no address listed. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Carey Tuesday on warrants charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm, two counts of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, second-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree assault. He was lodged in jail without bail. Assault — Boris Anatoly Sigalov, 25, of the 700 block of Agate Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Sigalov Tuesday on charges of felony fourth-degree assault, menacing, endangering another person and violating a restraining order. He was lodged in jail on $18,000 bail. Burglary — Michael Joseph Ramos, 21, of the 2200 block of Taylor Road, Central Point. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Ramos late Tuesday on a warrant charging him with first-degree burglary and probation violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Burglary — Danny Ray Funderburg, 55, of the 100 block of Lincoln Street, Medford. A sheriff’s deputy arrested Funderburg Tuesday on a charge of first-degree burglary and two counts of driving with a suspended license. He was lodged in jail, then released Wednesday morning when he posted cash on $26,000 bail. Drugs — Michael Ray Horine, 52, of Yuba City, Calif. Oregon State Police arrested Horine late Tuesday on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and possessing marijuana. He was lodged in jail on $29,000 bail, then released on his own recognizance. Robbery — Kirby Lee Barker, of the 3300 block of Ford Drive, Medford. A sheriff’s detective arrested Barker Wednesday on charges of first-degree robbery and first-degree kidnapping. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Wednesday night on $2 million bail. Eluding — Luis Alfredo Regalado, 17, of Salinas, Calif. Regalado appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with eluding police in a vehicle and reckless driving. He was booked into jail and released. Theft — Matthew Shay McQuigg, 19, of the 300 block of Highland Drive, Medford. McQuigg appeared in Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle, two counts of first-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief. He was booked into jail and released. Theft — David Americus Hixson, 40, of the 2400 block of Stearns Way, Medford. Hixson appeared in Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with first-degree theft. He was booked into jail and released. Drugs — James Michael Shewmaker, 35, of the 3300 block of Delta Waters Road, Medford. Shewmaker appeared in Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail and released. Drugs — Ramon Ortiz-Ceniceros, of the 1500 block of South Peach Street, Medford. Ortiz-Ceniceros appeared in Circuit Court Wednesday on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail and released. Crime reports Theft — Garfield and Iowa street, Ashland. Ashland police took a report Monday of someone breaking into a vehicle and taking a rifle, a shotgun and a skateboard. Theft — 2400 block of Roberts Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a theft from a truck of golf clubs valued at $1,350.
