Cecil Ray Martin Tuesday Jan 10, 2017 at 2:00 AM 1926 - 2017 Cecil Ray Martin of Phoenix, Oregon passed away January 3, 2017 in Medford, Ore. He was born February 1926 in Beagle (Sams Valley,) Ore. to James Andrew and Myrtle Pearl (Bass) Martin. Cecil married Alice Leone Bryant in July of 1945 in Medford, Ore. They were lifelong residents of the Rogue Valley. Cecil worked for Fluhrer's Bakery in Medford from 1945 to 1950. He then owned his own Union 76 service station in Medford. In 1958 he went to work for Jorgensen's Dairy as a driver and salesman for 22 years. After retiring he worked summers for the Oregon State Parks as a park aide in the valley. He was a member of the Mazama Mushroom Club and an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by sons, Robert (Skip) Martin and John (Bev) Martin; and a daughter Terri (Martin) Frazier; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leo Martin, Loring Martin, and Merril Martin; daughter-in-law, Rhonda; son-in-law, Allan Frazier; and his wife of 59 years. Family and friends will be notified when memorial arrangements have been made.
