Jackson County sheriff's deputies Monday arrested Alvarez on warrants charging him with possession of methamphetamine as well as new charges of possession of methamphetamine and failing to appear on a disorderly conduct charge. He charges of was lodged Monday in jail without bail. Vehicle theft — Matthew Stephen Atkinson, 24, of the 200 block of Chestnut Street, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Atkinson on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of heroin, failing to register as a sex offender and menacing. He was lodged Monday in jail without bail. Drugs — Larry Ernest Cox, 56, of the 1500 block of South Peach Street, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Monday arrested Cox on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and for failing to appear on a charge of driving while suspended. He was lodged Monday in jail on $11,500 bail. Drugs — Dustin Erik Nielsen, 31, of the 1200 block of East 12th Street, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Nielsen on charges of possession of methamphetamine, second-degree theft and for violating the conditions of his parole on a previous identity theft conviction. He was lodged Monday in jail without bail. Sex-offender registration — James Jacobus Jacobs, 38, of the 900 block of Broadway Street, Rogue River. Rogue River police Sunday arrested Jacobs on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender, possession of methamphetamine and for being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was lodged Sunday in jail and released Monday on his own recognizance. Drugs — John Taylor Ricks II, 38, of the 100 block of Willamette Avenue, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Ricks on charges of possession of methamphetamine, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, interfering with a police report and for failure to display his operating license. He was lodged Sunday in jail and released Monday on his own recognizance. Drugs — Amber Dawn Russell, 28, of the 100 block of Mace Road, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Russell on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and six warrants on failing to appear on drug, trespass and theft charges. She was lodged Sunday in jail and released Monday on her own recognizance. Drugs — Daniel Antonio Aripez, 23, of the 2800 block of East McAndrews Road, Medford. Phoenix police Sunday arrested Aripez on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and for failing to appear on drunken driving and contraband charges. He was lodged Sunday in jail and released Monday on his own recognizance. Strangulation — Rebecca Mae Bailey, 52, of the 700 block of Lawnsdale Road, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Bailey on charges of strangulation, fourth-degree assault and harassment. She was lodged Monday in jail and released on her own recognizance. Burglary — Jenniffer Rebecca Bradley, 25, no known address. Rogue River police Monday arrested Bradley on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree trespass, second-degree criminal mischief and for failing to appear on earlier assault and harassment charges. She was lodged Monday in jail and released on her own recognizance. Vehicle theft — Robert Hunter Simpson, 22, of the 1400 block of Skyview Drive, Medford. Sheriff's deputies Monday arrested Simpson on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, attempting to elude police in a vehicle, reckless driving and endangering the welfare of another. He was lodged Monday in jail and released on his own recognizance. Vehicle theft — Adrian Joel Thompson, 43, no known address. Medford police Monday arrested Thompson on warrants charging him with unauthorized use of a vehicle and second-degree theft. He was lodged Monday in jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Joey Lee Hooser, 23, no known address. Medford police Monday arrested Hooser on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and for violating his parole on a previous drug conviction. He was lodged Monday in jail without bail.
