Jackson County reports 50 new COVID-19 cases By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Mar 01, 2022 04:10 PM A A Jackson County reported 50 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and eight more COVID-19-related deaths. Josephine County reported 23 new cases and one death. Statewide, the Oregon Health Authority reported 741 new cases Tuesday and 26 deaths. The number of people hospitalized in Oregon with the virus dipped to 460 Tuesday, down 19 from Monday, according to statewide hospitalization data. Rogue Valley hospitals were caring for 53 COVID-19 patients Tuesday, down one from Monday.
