Repp trial to proceed in February Sep 25, 2003 12:00 AM A A The murder trial for Gary M. Repp, a former Oregon State Police recruit accused of killing his pregnant wife, has been reset for February. Repp was to stand trial this month for the May 4, 2002, slaying. However, Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Lorenzo Mejia postponed the trial, set to start Sept. 16, at the last minute when new evidence was discovered. Attorneys on both sides of the case declined to discuss the new evidence. Jackson County District Attorney Mark Huddleston announced Wednesday that the trial is to proceed Feb. 3. A pre-trial report was filed with the court, setting the new date and eliminating the need for a pre-trial conference that was scheduled for Oct. 6. Repp, 34, remains in the Jackson County Jail without bail. He was arrested on a murder charge 12 days after his wife was found dead in their home while he was at a T-ball game with their two children.
