He was born October 12, 1942 to Don and Viola Courtright in Colville, Wash. and was one of five children. From his birth to his passing, he blessed everyone around him with his love, faith, help, and music. Don married his sweetheart, Joyce Arnold, June 3, 1961. Together they had two children and enjoyed 54 years full of wonderful memories. Their children and grandchildren know of this love by their many kisses and randomly placed “I love you” notes. Don served six years in the United States Navy, of which two years were active duty on the USS Topeka. He later worked for Medford Corporation and Boise Cascade as a plywood core-layer. Don and Joyce enjoyed being with family and friends, traveling, hunting, and fishing. Don loved playing the organ and harmonica. He loved to sing along with the praise songs and hear the wonderful messages at Table Rock Fellowship. He had the biggest heart of all, and a wonderful ability to touch people’s lives, helping everyone he knew. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce; daughter, Laurie (John); son, Rick; grandchildren, Elaina (Peter), Scott (Kaitlin), Kayla, and Jordan; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanne, Carol, and Sharon (Don); sister-in-law, Helen; many nieces and nephews; and his four-legged little buddy, Ruger. Don was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Norman. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Table Rock Fellowship, 3610 N. Pacific Highway, Medford, Ore.
