Police on lookout for man who robbed Medford bank Police are looking for a man who walked away from a Medford bank with an undisclosed amount of money just two minutes before the bank closed on Friday. The suspect, wearing a dark, fedora-style felt hat with white circular logo in the front center, entered the U.S. Bank on Court and Ohio streets at 5:58 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding large bills. He did not display a weapon, police said. Police Friday declined to disclose how much money the suspect took from the bank. Even though the robber did not show a weapon, the teller followed standard procedure when she handed over the cash, Sgt. Tom McCleary said. "Most people aren't going to argue on the chance that they (the robber) have a weapon," he added. "Let's face it, money is not worth dying for." The suspect left the bank on foot and headed south on Boardman Street, police said. The bank is located near the Rogue Valley Mall and West McAndrews Street. Police are looking for a white male with a dark complexion and dark, shoulder-length hair who is in his early 20s. The suspect is reportedly 5-foot-11 and weighs 170 pounds. He has a sparse, dark mustache and beard. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a dark-colored, long-sleeved sweat shirt over another hooded, dark-colored sweat shirt. He also was wearing navy blue or black sweat pants and white tennis shoes. Although the suspect was seen leaving the bank on foot, police said he may have left the area in a light-colored vehicle similar to a Ford Taurus.
