Rothermich appeared Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of synthetic drugs. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Michael Thomas Gumaer, 27, of the 100 block of North Columbus Avenue, Medford. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Wednesday arrested Gumaer on charges of methamphetamine possession and a parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Identity theft, vehicle theft — Thomas Richard Brissey Jr., 29, of Redding, Calif. Brissey appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with two counts of second-degree forgery, unlawful use of a vehicle and identity theft. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Barbara Jane Esqueda, 32, of the 3200 block of Avenue A, White City. A Medford police officer Wednesday arrested Esqueda on a warrant charging her with methamphetamine possession. She was lodged in jail and later released because of overcrowding. Drugs — James Joseph Bradley III, 22, no known address. An Ashland police officer late Tuesday arrested Bradley on charges of possessing, manufacturing and delivering hashish, and manufacturing and delivering marijuana. He was lodged in jail and later released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Andrew C. Schiffbauer, 25, of Bloomington, Ind. An Ashland police officer late Tuesday arrested Schiffbauer on charges of delivering hashish and delivering marijuana. He was lodged in jail and later released on his own recognizance. Sex abuse — Winfred Thomas Routzen, 61, no known address. A Medford police officer late Tuesday added a charge of first-degree sexual abuse against Routzen, who was originally jailed on a probation violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Crime reports Theft — 4500 block of Wolf Run Drive, Medford. A Medford police officer Wednesday took a report of a theft in which three telephones, a wedding ring, electronic equipment, a watch and clothing valued at $1,050 were stolen.
