Charles O'Neil Lamoree Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Sep. 11, 2014 @ 2:00 am Posted Sep. 11, 2014 @ 2:00 am » Social News Charles O'Neil Lamoree May 25, 1945 to September 9, 2014 Charles O'Neil Lamoree passed away peacefully in his home in Medford, Ore. September 9, 2014. He was 69 years old. Chuck was born in Turlock, Calif. May 25, 1945, and grew up in Vallejo, Calif., graduating from Vallejo High School in 1963. He graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA in English in 1968 and from the University of California, Davis with a JD in 1972. He practiced law for 30 years in Solano County, working in private practice, and then as the Assistant City Attorney in Vallejo, as the County Counsel for Solano County, and as the City Attorney in Vacaville. After his retirement in 2002, he continued working until 2010 in various roles, including as the City Attorney in Rio Vista and Livermore, and as Counsel to the Solano Transportation Authority. He was a resident of Southern Oregon (including Applegate Valley, Medford, and Grants Pass) for the past nine years; he was also a member of the Ruch Community Bible Church. Chuck is survived by his wife, Debbie, whom he married in 2012. He is also survived by his mother, Betty June Lamoree of Medford, Ore., and his daughter, Sarah Rose Lamoree (Laurence Benenson) of Alexandria, Va. Chuck was preceded in death by his fathers, David James Lamoree and Charles Oscar O'Neil, and his son, David Frank Lamoree. Chuck is also survived by his brother, Thomas David Lamoree (Lynn); his sister, Carol Jean Heins; his nephews, Garrick Topp and Billy Heins; his step-son Chad Daniels (Charlotte) and step-granddaughter Gracenn Daniels; and the mother of his two children, Beverly Ann Lamoree. In lieu of flowers or donations, please take yourself out to a nice meal this is what Chuck would have wanted most! A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Ruch Community Bible Church, 190 Upper Applegate Road, Jacksonville, OR 97530.
