One of them, a repeat offender, Ian Anthony Flemming, 45, of Wolf Creek was also sentenced Thursday to five years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of second-degree burglary and one count of first-degree aggravated theft in Jackson County Circuit Court. Flemming will serve the sentence at the same time he is serving a five year and eight month prison sentence previously imposed in Douglas County. He has been incarcerated at the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville and was brought to Jackson County for his plea agreement and sentencing hearing this week. Along with co-defendant Christopher McDonald of Albany, Flemming was ordered to pay $206,394 in restitution. McDonald was sentenced to 10 days in jail in 2014 for his role in the string of 2013 burglaries. According to court records, the two targeted facilities including Federal Aviation Administration, Oregon Department of Transportation and Pacific Power structures located on remote Bureau of Land Management property. Oregon State Police began investigating the burglaries in June 2013 after receiving a report of vandalism at an ODOT repeater site. During the investigation, OSP discovered thefts and vandalism at other towers. OSP, a Grants Pass police K-9 unit and Bureau of Land Management officers arrested Flemming in February 2014 after a five-hour manhunt in the woods near Wolf Creek. Flemming was convicted of unauthorized use of a vehicle in Josephine County in 2007 and possession of a stolen vehicle, first-degree theft and first-degree aggravated theft in Douglas County this year.
