Phillipians 1:3-6 Leona Couser, 99, of Central Point, passed into eternal life April 26, 2016 at her home. She was the middle child; the last of nine siblings. Leona was born April 10, 1917 to Oscar and Esther Ross in Dixon, S.D. She attended school in Hidden Timber, S.D. She married Ray W. Couser Sr. September 30, 1935. They started a family in Nebraska. They moved to Oregon in 1940. She was a beloved wife, mother, and homemaker. She worked for A & D, Rogue Valley Cannery, Harry & David. Leona was an amazing cook. She loved her new grandbabies and family events. Hospitality was her gift. She loved crafts, crocheting, quilting, gardening, nutrition, and traveling. She belonged to Eastwood Baptist Church and was a faithful, Godly servant and prayer warrior! We are so thankful for her love, compassion, and endless giving. Leona is survived by her son, Edward Couser; her daughters, Mavis Giraud, Laura Mayes, and Sylvia Medina; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Couser Sr.; and four children, Beverly, Ronald, Charles, and Raymond Couser. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m, Friday, May 6, 2016. at Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A memorial celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Eastwood Baptist Church. Dr. Randolph Miller will officiate.
