Avi Feldman Memorial Fund will go toward counseling Dec 05, 2016 12:00 AM A A The family of Avi Feldman, a 20-year-old Ashland resident who was stabbed to death Nov. 6 at a party in the 200 block of Strawberry Lane, has set up a grief counseling account for friends who've been traumatized by his murder. Money raised for the Avi Feldman Memorial Fund will go toward weekly group counseling sessions with Adam Marx, an Ashland psychologist. His oldest son, Eric, was killed in a car crash in 2011. Partly because of that experience, Marx focuses his coaching practice on helping others who are struggling with the death of a child, according to a media release. Information about Marx's background and experience can be found at www.adammarx.com. Those who would like to sign up for the counseling may contact Feldman's aunt Lynn Weiss at [email protected]. Donations will be accepted at any Wells Fargo Bank for the Avi Feldman Memorial Fund. In addition, checks can be made payable to the fund and mailed to Bonni Feldman Selleck, Avi’s aunt, to 9949 Masterpiece Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89148.
