Spartans come up short on road Feb 08, 2015 12:00 AM A A MISSOULA, Mont. — The Missoula Maulers defeated the Southern Oregon Spartans, 5-2, during Western States Hockey League action at the Glacier Ice Rink on Sunday . The Maulers (31-10) took two of three in the series. Mackenzie Wood scored two goals for the Spartans (28-10), who were outshot 52-34 and never led. Southern Oregon goalkeeper Reed Kinsey made 47 saves.
