A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Beaver on a charge of unlawful use of a vehicle. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where she remained late Thursday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Christopher Sean Waites, 20, of the 800 block of Mountain View Drive, Eagle Point. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Waites on charges of methamphetamine possession and carrying a concealed knife. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday on $8,000 bail. Drugs — Timothy James Boyd, 18, of the 600 block of South Holly Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Boyd on charges of methamphetamine possession and a probation violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Theft, drugs, weapons — James Aaron Stevens, 24, of the 500 block of South Ivy Street, Medford. Stevens appeared Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with two counts of delivering marijuana, two counts of manufacturing marijuana, two counts of possessing marijuana, two counts of first-degree theft and being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Sarah Lavell Smart, 21, of the 3300 block of Delta Waters Road, Medford. Smart appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with delivering, manufacturing and possessing marijuana and delivering, manufacturing and possessing methamphetamine. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Criminal mischief — Joshua Eugene Snow, 30, of the 1200 block of Spring Street, Medford. Snow appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal mischief. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Advertisement Drugs — Dean Kirk Castonguay, 42, of the 3600 block of Avenue G, White City. Castonguay appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with methamphetamine possession. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Theft — Amber Juana Lara, 21, of the 700 block of North River Road, Rogue River. Lara appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with two counts of first- degree theft. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Theft — Christopher Marion Mendoza, 38, of the 11200 block of Duggan Road, Central Point. Mendoza appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first- degree theft, second-degree theft and credit card fraud. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Justin Jonathan Dale Rycraft, 22, of the 400 block of Benson Street, Medford. Rycraft appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with delivering and possessing marijuana. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Crime reports Vehicle theft — 3900 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Thursday took a report of a theft in which a dark green 1992 Toyota pickup, Oregon license plate LSTAPE, was stolen. The vehicle was valued at $3,999. Burglary — 2000 block of Lampman Road, Gold Hill. A sheriff’s deputy Wednesday took a report of a burglary in which someone entered a home and stole items valued at $500. Burglary — 2600 block of Old Stage Road, Central Point. A sheriff’s deputy Wednesday took a report of a burglary in which someone entered a home and stole items valued at $650. Miscellaneous Emergency foster care — The Jackson County Child Welfare division of the Department of Human Services reports that 27 children were placed in foster care in March, with five of them placed with relatives. Methamphetamine use was a factor in 15 of those cases, officials said.
