Art & Soul Ashland: The gallery features paintings in a variety of mediums and styles by local and regional artists. The featured exhibition, “Creative Essence - Intuitive Abstract Expressions in Watercolor,” on display through June 30, showcases watercolor paintings by Lynda Hoffman-Snodgrass. Art du Jour Gallery: See exhibits by 17 local artists in myriad mediums such as watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, pen-and-ink, Conté crayon, collage, sculpture, photography, mixed media and more. The annual Charity Hubbard Student Show, showcasing several of Hubbard’s student’s works will be displayed in the Main Gallery and the Featured Artist areas throughout June and July. Art Presence Art Center: The gallery, which features work in a variety of mediums by local artists is located at 206 N. Fifth St., Jacksonville, will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays. See the featured exhibit be the The Artists’ Workshop of Southern Oregon which showcases artists who capture the beauty of our local landscapes and historic buildings throughout the month of June. The Main Gallery will exhibit work by member artists in a variety of mediums including watercolor, photography, oil and sculpture, and showing in the Galleria will be “Jacksonville is for the Birds,” featuring every manner of birdhouses and images of birds, on view through June. Ashland Art Works: The gallery features work of local artists in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, woodwork, fiber arts, jewelry, and garden art. See an exhibit of watercolor paintings by Shari Southard throughout the month of June. Exhibits include sewing, dyeing, knitting, crocheting, embroidering and felting to binding, collaging, painting, printing, stenciling, beading and creating assemblage pieces. Throughout the month of June, see work Gayle Erbe-Hamlin, which focuses on her experience as a resident at PLAYA in Summer Lake, Ore. Working in fiber and clay, she reflects on the landscape of the area as well as the deep presence of the First Peoples who occupied the region. Main St., Ashland, features vintage textiles and jewelry, antiques, art and furnishings. See the June exhibition featuring a new collection of diverse masks and artifacts from Africa, as well as photos, paintings, and jewelry. Paintings by Judy Benson LaNier will be featured alongside work by Vernon Lawhorne and Joseph Bartlow. The gallery will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. See the exhibit “Aloft: A Global Exhibition from Studio Quilt Art Associates,” which provides new perspectives through which to see our world, through July 22. This eclectic show brings together works from over 30 different artists from around the world. The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and by appointment. Admission to the museum is free. The retail gallery, Gallery One, located at street-level of the museum, features the work of approximately 60 local artists. Kristen O’Neill is the featured artist for the month of June in Gallery One. O’Neill will be exhibiting work from her new series “Common Ground” that features the Southern Oregon and Northern California landscape, including areas of forest fires. Hanson Howard Gallery: The gallery, located at 89 Oak St., Ashland, features works in an array of mediums including painting, sculpture, ceramics and fine art prints. The exhibit “Meet Me Out Left Field,” featuring ceramics by Dews and paintings, will be on display June 17-July 23. Rogue Gallery & Art Center: The gallery, featuring work by local artists, at 40 S. Bartlett St., Medford, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The Main Gallery will feature textile work, using vintage tobacco and cigarette silks, by Greta Mikkelsen through June 17. Tobacco or cigarette silks are printed textile pieces tobacco companies inserted into their products in the early 1900s. In the Community Gallery see the exhibit “Expressionism: Annual Art Movement Tribute,” featuring work by over 30 artists through July 8. The Members’ Gallery features all new work by over 50 RGAC members in myriad mediums, on exhibit thorough Aug. 26. The Berryman Gallery, a satellite exhibition space of RGAC, located on the second floor lobby of the Craterian Theater, 23 S.
