Marshfield runs away from EP COOS BAY � Eagle Point�s girls basketball team continued through its school of hard knocks Wednesday as Marshfield raced to a 59-28 triumph at the Pirate Palace. Maegan Traver paced Marshfield with 16 points, while Lauren Parrish and Ali Whitty added 12 points each as Marshfield improved to 4-0 "They ran the floor well," Eagle Point coach Tim Rouhier said The Eagles (1-3) were without sophomore wing Aubrey Harrington, who was sidelined by a knee injury. "We�re making small strides, but we can�t seem to keep everybody together," Rouhier said. "We�ve yet to play a game with a full compliment of players." Eagle Point connected on just 14-of-54 (.259) shots from the field. "We were getting a lot of good looks," Rouhier said. "But we couldn�t knock anything down. We�d run something, get excited and burp something up that wouldn�t fall. After a while it just compounded itself." Ashley Curtis led Eagle Point with 12 points. The Eagles open their Southern Oregon Conference schedule at home against North Medford on Friday night. Brian Andresen provided his most spirited defensive effort of the season, with the 6-foot-4 sophomore pulling down 13 rebounds and blocking three shots. Andresen also had seven points for the Cougars (3-3), while David Maloy chipped in seven assists.
