3.4 Klamath Falls quake was felt in Medford area KLAMATH FALLS -- An earthquake registering a magnitude of 3.4 rattled the Klamath Falls area Sunday night. It was felt from Klamath Falls to Medford but no damage or injuries were reported. The epicenter was in almost the same place as a series of quakes that struck six years ago, killing two people. "There were lots of people throughout southern Klamath County who felt it, from Keno to Round Lake and along the Southside bypass, but not so much in town," said Bill Thompson, Klamath County emergency services manager. The epicenter was 13.9 miles west-northwest of Klamath Falls, almost precisely where the first earthquake was centered on Sept. 20, 1993.
